Although ALL is a disease primarily of the bone marrow and peripheral blood, any organ or tissue may be infiltrated by the abnormal cells. The symptoms in children can have a much longer duration due to ALL has varies amounts of onset which may last from days to months. The first symptoms are usually non- specific and include anorexia, irritability and lethargy. Fever is the most common finding, occurring in approximately sixty percent of patients.
